NEW BEGINNING-Part 1-resubmitWiping her weary eyes, Tillis looked at the clock on her dresser, 5:03 and yet she was wide awake. Slowly she pushed herself up and slid out of her iron bed being careful not to wake the others, she fumbled for the light and pressed the small button. As Tillis approached the mirror she looked away being careful not to catch a glimpse of herself, "Oh come on Tillis, don't be stupid, you do this every time and it never works," Tillis mumbled to herself. Finally Tillis gave into herself and stood in front of the shiny reflector, trying to keep her eyes off her damaging scars.
